For photographers: the guest album beside your gallery

Your gallery is the record. The guest album is the rest of the day. On Pro you can run one for every client at no cost per guest.

Your couple will ask for the guest photos. Not at delivery, but three weeks later, when an aunt mentions a shot from the cocktail hour that nobody has seen. And you will do what everyone does: forward the request into a group chat and hope.

There is a better version of that, and it belongs to you rather than to them.

What the guest album adds to your delivery

Your gallery is the record of the day, made deliberately, by someone who was hired to be in the right room at the right moment. It is not supposed to contain the getting-ready hour you were not in, the table you did not shoot, or the after-party you had already left.

A guest album is that second layer. It runs on one QR code, fills from the room's phones during the day, and lands next to your gallery as a different kind of object: unposed, everywhere at once, and complete in exactly the ways a single photographer cannot be. What your couple's guests are shooting all day is the case for why it matters.

For you, it does something more practical. It gives you a place to send every "do you have a photo of..." request for the rest of the year, and it is a line on your package that a couple understands immediately.

You are the host

This is the part that matters operationally: the album is yours, not the couple's.

You create the event under your own account. You pick the QR preset that suits the stationery, so the card on the table sits inside the suite rather than fighting it. You hand the couple the link, and they hand it to their guests. When the album fills, you decide what stays in it: hold uploads for approval if the wedding is formal, hide the accidental shots of the floor, and the album your client sees is the album you curated.

There is no co-hosting and no shared login. One account owns the event, which is a cleaner arrangement than it sounds: your client never has to manage a setting, and you never have to explain one. They get a link that works.

Then you deliver twice. The gallery, on your normal schedule. The album, with a zip of the originals and a highlight reel cut from what the guests captured, which arrives while the wedding is still the thing everybody is talking about. The reel renders on a device rather than in a queue, so there is no rendering fee to pass on and nothing to wait for.

The plan that fits a season of weddings

Pro is the shape that fits this. Unlimited events, which means one album per client, running at the same time, all season, without ever taking one down to make room for the next.

The entry plan is $9/mo with 100 GB of storage, or $90/yr if you pay for the year, which works out to two months free. Larger tiers exist for a heavier video season. What matters more than the number is the shape of it: there is no guest limit and no per-guest fee on any plan, so the size of a guest list never changes what you pay. You are buying storage, not attendance. Pro vs. Event Pass is the comparison if you only shoot a few events a year, and pricing has every tier.

Old albums stay at the same link, so a client from two seasons ago can still send their link to a cousin, and that link still carries your name as the host.

What it is not

Worth being blunt, because the boundary is the reason to trust the rest.

This is not a client gallery. There is no proofing, no favoriting workflow for a couple to hand back, no RAW ingest, no print store, no contract or invoice attached. It does not deliver your work, and it should not: your gallery does that job better than a guest tool ever will.

It is also not professional coverage. Guest photos are guest photos, taken on phones, at eye level, with the flash on. They are valuable because of where they were taken, not how.

Sell it as what it is. A complete, curated collection of the day from everyone who was there, delivered by you, alongside the work you were hired to do.

What to say to the couple

One line at the planning meeting does it: "We will put a code on the tables so every guest's photos come back to you in one place, and I will curate it and send it with your gallery."

The exact wording for the table card, the announcement and the pre-wedding message is already written in the guest upload kit, so you can hand a couple the copy instead of drafting it.

If you want to see the setup end to end before you offer it, run one on a wedding you have already shot: the wedding photo QR guide is the whole flow in one read.

Questions

Can the couple manage the album themselves?
Not in this arrangement, and that is the point. The account that creates the event runs it, so the album stays on your side of the delivery. The couple get the link, and they can browse, download and share it freely.
Does this replace my client gallery?
No. The gallery is the delivery of the work you were hired for. The guest album is a parallel collection of what everyone else saw, and it is deliberately not a proofing or delivery tool.
What happens to a client's album when the season ends?
It stays where it is, at the same link, until you delete it. Old events do not need to be cleared to make room for new ones.
