Nothing is made on a server. When you tap download, your own phone or laptop draws every frame of the reel and packs it into an MP4, then hands you the file. It's fast, it costs nothing, and it's exactly what you saw in the preview.

Download
Tap Download video. A dialog shows the progress (Creating your video, then Finishing up), and it usually takes a few seconds on a recent phone or laptop. Keep the tab open and in front until it's done; closing the dialog cancels. The file saves to your device the moment it's ready, and Partyreel also keeps a copy so the next download (yours or a guest's) is instant.
The file you get
- An MP4 at 1080p: 1080 by 1920 for portrait, 1920 by 1080 for landscape, at 24 frames per second.
- Silent: no audio track. Add music in the app you post from.
- Named after the event, ending in
-reel.mp4. - On the free plan, up to 30 seconds with a small partyreel.com mark in the corner. With Pro & Event Pass, up to 60 seconds and no mark. The mark is the only difference; free reels export at full quality.
Posting it
Portrait is made for Instagram Stories and Reels, TikTok, and Snapchat: download on your phone, open the app, and pick the video from your camera roll. Landscape suits a TV, a website, or a slideshow. There's no direct "post to" button; the file is yours to use anywhere.
After you change the reel
Changing the moments, order, style, cover, length, or layout means the next Download video makes a fresh copy; an unchanged reel re-downloads instantly from the stored one. Guests who download get whichever is current when they ask.
If the button isn't there
Making the video needs a modern browser. On one that can't, the Studio shows a note instead of the button: Video export needs a modern browser. Your reel still plays here, and any modern phone or desktop browser can download it. Current versions of Safari, Chrome, Edge, and Firefox on a phone or computer from the last few years all work. More in the reel won't download.
One reel, one file
Each event has a single reel, so a new download replaces the stored copy rather than adding a second version. Keep the files you've downloaded if you want both cuts.
