The free plan is a real plan, not a trial: it runs a real event, for real guests, and never expires on its own. It's sized for one gathering.
What's included
- one event at a time. Deleting an event frees the slot.
- 2 GB of storage, which comfortably holds a few hundred full-quality phone photos.
- Photos only. Guests (and you) can't upload video on a free event; the page says so if someone tries.
- Everything about the album: the live gallery, review, hide and remove, downloads for you and your guests, the guest list, and requiring accounts (which is free on every plan).
- A highlight reel in all 14 styles, up to 30 seconds, exported at full quality with a small partyreel.com mark in the corner.
What's paid
Five things wait behind Pro & Event Pass: video uploads, password-protected albums, a custom event link, a public profile handle, and a 60-second reel with no mark. Storage and the event count are the other reason to move: Pro has unlimited events and 100 GB, 500 GB, or 2 TB of storage; the Event Pass adds one more event with 75 GB for about a year. See Pro vs. Event Pass.
The one rule to know
Events have no end date, but on the free plan an event nobody touches for about 6 months is warned by email, then moved to Deleted, where it can be restored for 30 days. Any activity resets the clock: signing in, a new upload, an edit. Paid plans are exempt. See how long your media is kept.
Moving up, and back
Upgrading is instant from the pricing page; your event, link, and QR code don't change. If you later cancel, nothing is deleted: your album stays, and if you're over the free storage you get 45 days to make room or come back. See upgrade, downgrade, or cancel.
A good way to decide
Run your first event free. The moment you want a second event, video, or a password is the moment the paid plans are for.
