How long your media is kept

Updated May 31, 2026

We designed Partyreel so you don't have to race a countdown. Your memories aren't on a timer.

Events stay until you delete them

There's no expiry date on an event. It stays up — album, photos, videos, and reel — until you choose to delete it. Deleting is also the only way to free up a storage slot or reclaim space, because it removes the underlying files for good.

Deleting is permanent

Removing an event or a media item deletes the original files. Save anything you want to keep first — see downloading your photos and videos.

A note on free events

To keep things tidy, free events that go completely untouched for a long stretch may eventually be archived — and if that's ever about to happen, we'll email you first so you have time to download or upgrade. Active events and paid plans aren't affected.

Event Pass

An Event Pass keeps its event for about a year from purchase, which is plenty for a wedding album you'll revisit. If you need it longer, you can move to Pro before it lapses.
