Reporting content and keeping your event safe

As the host, you move fastest. Every control you'd want in a bad moment is one tap on your own event page, and reporting to Partyreel is the door for what a host can't handle alone.

The host's playbook

• Get it off the album now. Hide on the tile or in the photo viewer takes a photo off the album for everyone in the same second; Remove sends it to Deleted. Both are reversible. See hide, remove, and restore.
• Stop the flow. Turn on Review uploads before they appear so nothing new goes public until you've seen it. If it's really bad, turn off Accepting uploads.
• Know who's uploading. With Require accounts to upload on (the default), every upload has a name and, for you, an email behind it, which is a strong deterrent on its own.
• Lock the door. If the link has spread further than you wanted, add a password or switch to Private; both take effect on the existing link instantly. See who can see your event.

A guest who wants their own photo removed can ask you, or delete it themselves from their dashboard if they uploaded it signed in.

Reporting to Partyreel

Anyone viewing an album, host or guest, can report it: a small Report link at the bottom of the event page opens Report this event with an optional reason. Reports are anonymous and don't need an account. Because the report covers the event as a whole, the reason box is where to name the photo. The guest's walkthrough is in report a problem, or get a photo of you taken down.

What happens to a report

Every report gets a careful look, and review comes before removal. A report never lands in a void, and nothing is taken down automatically the moment one arrives, so a report can't be used to wreck an album out of spite. Serious problems can end in removals or suspended accounts. If Partyreel removes something from your album, it shows to you as no longer available and can't be restored.

Keeping what's needed

When a report involves something serious, the material is preserved rather than deleted so that it can be handled properly. Deleting an event doesn't erase material that's under review.
