Upgrade, downgrade, or cancel

Updated September 1, 2026 · 2 min read

In short

Upgrade from the pricing page; your events, links, and QR codes do not change and uploads resume at once. Everything after that (size, yearly, cancelling) happens in the billing portal.

Buying happens on the pricing page. Everything after buying happens in the billing portal, a secure page run by Stripe that Partyreel opens for you.

Upgrade

Pick a plan on the pricing page and check out. The moment the payment goes through, your account has the new storage and features: video, passwords, the longer reel. Nothing about your existing events changes; the links and QR codes you've printed keep working, and any paused uploads resume. Yearly Pro costs the price of ten months (two months free).

An Event Pass can be bought while you're on the free plan, or stacked on top of another pass; see how long an Event Pass lasts. Pro holders can't add a pass, since Pro already covers it.

The billing portal

  1. Dashboard
  2. storage meter
  3. Manage billing

Tap the storage meter on your dashboard, then Manage billing. (The button appears once you've paid for something.) The portal is where you:

  • Change your Pro storage size up or down. Picking a different size on the pricing page sends you here too; Pro is one subscription, resized rather than doubled.
  • Switch between monthly and yearly.
  • Update your card, and see your invoices and receipts. See payments, receipts, and invoices.
  • Cancel.

Downgrade or cancel

Cancel Pro in the portal and your plan runs to the end of the period you've paid for, then the account settles back to the free plan. Your media stays put; nothing is deleted. If your albums hold more than 2 GB, you get 45 days to make room or come back before anything is trimmed. Password protection and a custom link you already set keep working, though you can't set new ones on the free plan. See what happens when storage fills up.

An Event Pass isn't cancelled; it simply runs its year.

Pass to Pro

Moving from a pass to Pro converts the unused part of the pass into credit on your next Pro invoices. Buy Pro from the pricing page as usual; the credit is applied automatically.
