The reel is what the album becomes the morning after: the best of everything everyone shot, cut into a video short enough to send. It's built in your browser, it's free on every plan, and it starts with one tap.

Scroll to the Reel section of your event page. Partyreel offers a fill: Start with the crowd favorites once your guests have liked enough photos (see likes: who sees them and what they do), or Start with a first cut otherwise. Tap it and a balanced set is picked for you: what got liked, what's recent, a spread across the people who contributed, and a mix of photos and video stills. You can also hand-pick with Select in the gallery and Add to reel. Then tap Create reel.

The reel plays right there in its default style, and the section becomes its poster with an Open studio button.

Shape it in the Studio

The Studio is the reel editor, with a panel for each decision: Moments (which photos, in what order), Style (14 to choose from), Cover (the opening shot), Length, and Layout (portrait or landscape). Every change re-cuts the reel instantly, and what you see is exactly what the downloaded video will be. See pick the shots and put them in order and reel styles, length, cover, and layout.

Download it, share it

Download video makes an MP4 on your own device in a few seconds. Share with guests puts the reel on the event page for everyone with access, where they can watch it and download their own copy. See download the reel as a video and share the reel with your guests.

The limits

• It's silent. No music, no audio track. Add a song in whatever app you post from.
• Videos show a still. A video clip in the reel appears as its opening frame, not as moving footage.
• One reel per event. Change it as much as you like; there isn't a second one.
• Free-plan reels run up to 30 seconds and carry a small partyreel.com mark. Paid plans get 60 seconds and no mark.
