Partyreel's messages are written to be understood on the spot, but it helps to know what's behind each one and who can fix it.
About uploading
Connection and file-type messages are in an upload won't finish.
The password gate
- That password didn't work. Give it another try. Check the invitation; passwords are case-sensitive.
- After five wrong tries in a row, a short pause with a countdown. Wait it out; nothing is locked for good.
- A correct password keeps the album open on that device for about 12 hours. After that it asks again.
- This event is locked. Enter the event password to upload. You reached an upload without unlocking first, usually from an old tab. Reload and enter the password.
Don't have the password? It's the host's; ask them. Partyreel can't share it.
The email step
See all the photos with an email field means the host asks guests to confirm an email before seeing the full album. See why an event asks for your email. If the code doesn't come, the email code didn't arrive.
Private, gone, or wrong
- This event is private: the host has closed the album to everyone but themselves, often temporarily. Check back, or ask them.
- This event link didn't work: the link is mistyped, the event was deleted, or a custom link was changed. Ask the host for a fresh one. See the QR won't scan, or the link won't open.
- Too many joins from this network right now. Please try again in a bit.: a rare limit on unusual traffic from one network. It clears on its own.
What the messages never say
A guest is never told what plan the host is on. "Photos only" and "full" describe the event, not the account behind it.
