You entered your email, the screen says Enter your code, and the inbox is empty. Nearly every time it's one of five things, in this order.
Check these first
- 01
Look in spam, junk, and promotions
A first email from a new sender is the usual thing a spam filter catches. Search the whole mailbox for "Partyreel".
- 02
Re-read the address on the screen
The code screen shows exactly where it went. A one-letter typo is the most common cause; Use a different email takes you back to fix it.
- 03
Give it a minute, then tap Resend code
Delivery lags on busy networks and with some providers. Resend code is available again after a short countdown; use the newest email once it arrives, since older codes stop working when a new one is sent.
- 04
Try the link instead of the code
The same email carries a sign-in link. If the code seems wrong, the link is a second door.
- 05
Work or school inbox? Use a personal one
Corporate mail systems quarantine automated messages more than most, especially at work events. A personal address gets through.
If it still won't come
Nothing is lost: whatever you picked to upload is still on your phone, ready to add once you're in. If codes repeatedly fail to arrive at an address you know is right, tell us which event you were joining (the other ways into an account are in sign in: password, email code, or Google) and roughly when you tried, and we'll look into it. Every note gets a reply, usually within a day.
A note for hosts
Guests see this step only when your event requires accounts, which is the default. It's what puts a name and email behind every upload; the cost is this one extra step for guests. If a guest can't get a code at all and you'd rather have their photos than their email, you can turn the requirement off in settings; see require accounts to upload, explained.
