A reel is a list of moments in an order. Everything about editing it comes down to adding, removing, and dragging, and the Studio keeps the reel playing beside you while you do it.
Three ways to add photos
- The Moments panel. In the Studio (the reel editor, from Open studio), open Moments: the whole album as a grid. Tap a photo to add it (it gets a numbered badge), tap again to take it out. Suggested photos are marked, and Add suggested (with the count) takes them all at once. This is the main one.
- The photo viewer. Open any photo in the gallery; the host row has the add-to-reel control.
- Select mode. Select in the gallery, pick a batch, Add to reel. See select many photos at once.
There's no add-to-reel button on the gallery tiles themselves; the actions with consequences sit one tap deeper.
What qualifies
Only approved photos and videos. Something waiting in Review can't be added until you approve it, and a hidden photo can't be newly added (one that's already in the reel stays, dimmed, until you remove it). Videos join as their opening frame; the reel doesn't play footage.

The filmstrip along the bottom of the Studio is the running order. Press and drag a frame to move it; the reel re-cuts as you drop. The trailing plus opens the Moments panel. Reordering lives here only, so the reel keeps playing while you work.
The opening shot
The Cover sheet picks which moment opens the reel. It's also the poster guests see on the event page before they press play.
Start over
Take everything out from the Moments panel and the reel is empty again; there's no separate delete. Or use the fill button on the event page for a fresh first cut. Changing the moments doesn't affect a copy you've already downloaded until you download again.
Twelve to twenty
A 30-second reel holds roughly a dozen moments before each one flashes past; a 60-second reel about twice that. The Auto length setting fits the cut to what you picked, so add generously and let it breathe.
