Curating one photo at a time is fine for one photo. For the forty near-duplicates from the cake table, there's Select mode.
Enter Select mode
- Dashboard
- Your event
- Gallery
- Select
Tap Select in the gallery header, or press and hold any tile for about half a second (that tile becomes your first pick). Tiles turn into checkboxes: tap to pick, tap again to unpick. The bar at the bottom shows your count with All and Clear beside it.
The actions
- Add to reel: puts every selected, approved photo into the highlight reel. See pick the shots and put them in order.
- Like: hearts them all.
- Hide or Show: the label flips to Show only when everything you've picked is already hidden.
- Download: bundles just the selection into a zip, no dialog, hidden ones included.
- Delete: asks you to confirm (the dialog names the count), then removes them all to Deleted.
- The X (Cancel selection) leaves Select mode.
Add to reel and Like report once for the batch ("Added 12 to your reel") rather than once per photo. Anything that's already in the reel is skipped without a message; a photo waiting for review or hidden can't be added.
In Review
The Review section has its own Select mode with a smaller bar: Approve and Hide for the picked uploads. See review uploads before they appear.
Your selection survives
If new uploads arrive while you're mid-selection, the album updates underneath you and your picks stay picked. Only leaving Select mode clears them.
The morning-after pass
Open the event on a laptop, tap Select, walk the album once hiding the misfires, then All and Download for a full copy. Ten minutes for a whole wedding.
