A clip you save is yours alone. Adding it to the event gives everyone a copy: it joins the album as a video, next to the photos it was made from.
Add it
Make your clip first (see make your own clip). On the finished clip, tap Add to event, then confirm. The confirm names the event and says what happens next, ending on The live reel won't play it., so a stray tap never adds anything. You stay on the finished clip afterward, where the button reads Added, so you can still share or save it.
Where it goes
- The host's clip goes into the album approved, straight away, and uses a little of your storage, like any video you upload; the confirm says about how much. See storage, plans, and what counts toward your limit.
- A guest's clip goes in like any guest upload, through the same queue as your photos. On an event with review turned on, the host approves it first, and the confirm says so; see review uploads before they appear.
Once it's in, it's an ordinary video: everyone who can open the album can watch it, save it, and download it with the rest, and the host can hide or remove it like anything else.
What it never does
The highlight reel never plays a clip back, so the reel doesn't end up showing itself. A clip in the album also doesn't count toward starting the reel.
When it can't go in
- On a free event. A clip is a video, and videos need Pro & Event Pass. Share it or save it instead.
- While uploads are closed. Guests can't add a clip then; the host still can.
- When the album is photos only. With Videos off in the host's settings, a guest's clip stays theirs to save or share; the host can still add one.
- When the album is full. Like any upload, it can't go in until the host frees up space.
- After a lot of clips in one day. A guest who adds many in a day sees You've added a lot of clips today. Try again tomorrow.
