A Partyreel profile is a simple page: your name and photo, the events you host and want to share, and the events you joined. It exists only if you claim a handle, and nothing on it is a number: no follower counts, no likes, no stats.
Claim a handle

Your handle is the last part of your profile address, partyreel.com/u/your-name. In the Public profile card, type one into the Profile handle field and tap Save handle. Lowercase letters, numbers, and hyphens only, 3 to 30 characters, and Partyreel checks availability as you type. Claiming a handle is a Pro & Event Pass feature; if you're on the free plan the field shows an upgrade link instead.
View profile opens your page. Change and Remove do what they say, with one warning worth reading: the old address stops working right away, with no redirect, and the old handle becomes available to anyone. If you move to the free plan later, your existing handle keeps working and you can still remove it; you just can't change it.
What shows on your profile
- Events you host appear only when you turn on Show on my profile in that event's settings (the "Profile & guests" card). Each one links to its album, and a password-protected or private event still asks for the password, or stays locked, when someone opens it.
- Events you joined appear under "Also at" when you added photos while signed in and the host turned on their guest list. These are just names, not links. You choose which ones show: the Events you joined switches on your account page hide any event from your profile. Hiding one here doesn't take you off that event's own guest list; the host controls that. More in the guest list, and what shows on your profile.
Following
Open any host's profile and tap Follow. Events they've published to their profile then show up under the Following chip on your dashboard, so you can find a friend's next album without asking for the link.
Following is open to anyone with an account, but the graph is private: only you can see who you follow and who follows you, in the Connections card on your account page. Nobody else sees a count. Tap Unfollow there to stop.
Blocking
If someone shouldn't be able to follow you, open their profile, tap the more-options menu, and choose Block. Blocking is mutual and silent: you stop following each other, neither of you can follow the other again while the block is on, and they aren't told. Blocked people are listed in your Connections card, where Unblock undoes it.
A block only affects following. It doesn't hide an album from someone who has its link; for that, see who can see your event.
