The bell in your dashboard header collects the few things that need a decision from you. Email is reserved for what can't wait for your next visit, and Partyreel never emails your guests.
The bell
- Dashboard
- Notifications
Tap the bell and you'll see one of these, or You're all caught up.:
- Guests are waiting for your approval. Uploads are sitting in Review on an event where you review before things appear. See review uploads before they appear.
- You're over your storage limit. Your account is above its plan's storage, usually after a plan change. See storage, plans, and limits.
- Your Event Pass is expiring. Your pass ends within two weeks; renew to keep the extra storage. See Pro vs. Event Pass.
- Items in Deleted are about to be cleared. Something you deleted reaches the end of its recovery window within a week. Restore it or let it go. See how long your media is kept.
These aren't messages you dismiss. Each one stays until the situation resolves (you approve the uploads, free the space, renew, restore) and then disappears on its own. The badge count also includes any announcement from Partyreel, which clears once you've opened the panel.
The emails you might get
Every email Partyreel sends to a host is about your own account or events:
- Your Partyreel storage is over the limit, then a reminder a week before the deadline, then We reduced your Partyreel storage to fit your plan if nothing changed. The full timeline is in what happens when storage fills up.
- Your Partyreel Event Pass expires soon, two weeks out.
- Your Partyreel event will be removed soon and Your Partyreel event was removed (recoverable for now), which only free-plan events can receive, after about 6 months without any activity on the account.
- Sign-in codes and links, whenever you ask for one.
Each of those is sent once per situation, not on a schedule. Things you delete yourself are never emailed about; the bell covers them.
Your guests get nothing from us
Partyreel never emails the people who join your event. No "the album is ready" blast, no reminders, no newsletter. The only email a guest ever receives is a sign-in code they asked for. Sharing the album is yours to do; see share the album after the event.
Turning emails off
There's no notification-preferences page yet, and the emails above are the account-critical kind that most services send regardless. If one of them is reaching you in error, or you want an address removed, send us a note and we'll sort it out.
