Browse the album: the gallery, the photo viewer, and the reel

Updated September 1, 2026 · 2 min read

In short

The gallery updates live as people add photos. Tap one to open it full-screen, swipe between them, and use Like, Save, or Share. A shared reel appears on the page; Download all bundles the album.

The event page is the album. It fills up while you watch, it's yours to browse as long as the host keeps it up, and nothing on it costs anything.

Photos and videos appear newest first, in a two-column grid, within seconds of someone adding them. There's no refresh button because there's nothing to refresh: the page listens for new uploads. If the host is reviewing uploads first, only approved ones appear; if you're seeing only a preview, an email check unlocks the rest (see why an event asks for your email).

Videos show a play badge and play when you open them, never on their own.

The photo viewer

Tap anything to open it full-screen. Swipe (or tap the left and right edges) to move between photos; tap the middle, or the X, to close. At the bottom:

  • Like: the heart. Only the host sees how many likes a photo has; it's a quiet way to tell them which shots were the good ones. See likes: who sees them and what they do.
  • Save: downloads the original, full-size file to your phone.
  • Share: sends the event link, so a friend lands on the whole album. It never shares a single photo file.

Under the photo you'll see who added it, or Anonymous, and a counter of where you are in the album.

The reel

When the host has made a highlight reel and chosen to share it, it appears as a card on the page. Tap it to watch it full-screen; Download saves it as a video and Share sends the album link. Once the host closes uploads, the reel moves to the top of the page as the album's opening frame. If there's no card, the host hasn't shared one.

Download everything

Download all, just above the gallery, bundles the album into a zip: everything, or just the photos or just the videos. Very large albums may need to be split by type. Details in download your photos, videos, and albums.

Invite someone

Invite under the event name shows the same QR code and link the host has, so you can pass the album on to someone who wasn't there.

On a shared phone?

If you signed in to see the album on someone else's phone, use Sign out in the account menu before you hand it back. The page goes back to the preview.
